FCC License Renewal

Renewing a License

FCC Licenses will expire unless renewed for a further 10 years. The FCC will cancel a license if it is not renewed by the expiration date or within 30 days following the expiration date, with good cause. Beyond the 30 day grace period the license cannot be renewed. An operating system with an expired or canceled license must cease operating until an application for a new license has been filed with the FCC. This process can be expensive, requiring a new frequency engineering analysis, coordination and FCC application(s).

You can renew the license by accessing the FCC website License Manager. The FCC registration number (FRN) and the associated password are required to login.
